Currently gaining experience at a New Orleans, Louisiana, area builder, Zachary Addison also has experience in restaurant management. As part of his charitable giving, Zachary Addison supports the St. Andrew the Apostle School.
Founded in 1953 by the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, the school teaches students from pre-kindergarten through grade seven. In addition to religious instruction, students learn all academic subjects and become better prepared as citizens and family members. Here are some highlights of St. Andrew’s scholastic divisions:
- Pre-K and kindergarten. Starting at 8 weeks old, the school builds on children’s innate curiosity as teachers lead them in play time, language arts, and enrichment classes in science and technology.
- Lower school (first through fourth grades). St. Andrews follows state guidelines in developing literacy by exposing students to challenging texts. Mathematics and science teachers encourage critical thinking and number manipulation, and convey the essentials of biological and environmental studies.
- Middle School (fifth through seventh grades). Entering adolescence, students prepare for high school in a supportive environment. An interdisciplinary approach guides the curriculum, and successful learners may qualify for the school’s honors program.
