An experienced restaurant manager who worked with companies such as Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Zachary Addison also spent some time as an apprentice with Boudreaux Builders learning about the design and construction of commercial buildings and custom-built homes. Zachary Addison contributes to nonprofits such as Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO).
Through a diverse range of programs and services, CCANO brings the love of Christ to those in need in the local area, serving people of every ethnicity, race, and religion. Its Office of Justice and Peace focuses on promoting Catholic social teachings and oversees programs such as Cornerstone Builders.
A re-entry program for individuals who have been in prison, Cornerstone Builders helps men and women find the housing and employment they need within the first 72 hours of being released. The program also includes intensive case management to assist participants in obtaining employment and other needed resources, ranging from food and clothing to counseling for mental health or substance abuse issues.
